Ravi Galhena has created numerous peace projects in Sri Lanka to resolve tension between the Tamil and Singhalese, before he moved to the United Kingdom in 2003. He has received training from the United States Institute of Peace and has performed volunteer work in many countries around the world.
He holds a Masters degree (MSc) in International Trade and Transport. Ravi is a United Nations (UN) Maritime Consultant whose works has been published by the UN.
Ravi began his RYS activities as a participant in the early 1990s. He has served RYS and Interreligious Peace Sports Festival (IPSF) in many capacities and served as RYS Regional Director for Europe and Africa until September 2006.
Ravi is married to Kishani and together they are blessed with three children.
