Carol DeMicco Pobanz, is part of the RYS Global Management Team. She holds her BFA from the University of the Arts (formerly Philadelphia College of Art) [www.uarts.edu]and MRE from Unification Theological Seminary [www.uts.edu]. Rev. Pobanz has been associated with RYS since her first project in 1997. She has served in varied responsibilities including organizing, coordinating, training and developing cirriculumn for RYS. She has worked in countries in Central America, the Caribbean, the Mid-East, in Africa and in Europe.
In 2004 Rev. Pobanz began the development of projects integrating the service-learning activities of the RYS with more art related activities. These projects are being referred to as “Peace Parks”- Seeds to Peace Zones.
Carol was married in 1982 and has four sons. She resides in New Jersey.
