International Director

Daniel Bessell

     The International Director is responsible for the overall development of the Religious Youth Service. He works together with the mother organization, Universal Peace Federation, the Global Management Team and the Advisory Council to plan and oversee the successful execution of the projects.

     The Global Management Team works together with the International Director to manage the activities of RYS worldwide.  Every project is assigned a member of the GMT to help standardize the education and project execution. The GMT will also work to standardize publications and educational materials.

     The Advisory Council is made up of an interreligious group of individuals who have helped in the development of the RYS over its 20-year history.  They meet (at least virtually) twice a year to discuss the development of the RYS. This council will advise the management team and the International Director on what projects RYS should next undertake and where it should be carried out. Furthermore, this council helps in the formulation of project policies and finds new sources of funding for RYS.

Secretariat

     The secretariat is the administrative body of the RYS, it is not a single location office in fact there are RYS volunteers in several nations that ensure the various administrative tasks are performed. The secretariat is responsible to send out the newsletter, manage the international participant database and the alumni network. Furhtermore it is charged with collecting and editing project proposals and reports as well as create promotional publications and educational materials.

     The Advisors are people such as religious leaders and other professionals who offer expert advice to the RYS leadership regarding the development of the organization.

Project Developers

     Project Developers are those people who work to coordinate the RYS projects. They work in cooperation with members of the management team to create meaningful and successful projects. The Project Developer is the central person for RYS project preparations.
